The MOD 10 is a 1000 sq ft modern house that is modeled off of the MOD 5 with two additional modules that can be added on to create different floor plans and elevations. Choosing from the living module, an additional sleeping module and a bedroom suite module you can create different 1000 sq ft house plans that meet the needs of your family. Each module is just 20 ft by 25 ft, helping keep lot disturbance down and allow for construction on small lots. We have created 2 options to show you what can be done.

Keeping with the eco conscious MOD 5, the MOD 10 creates a small footprint to minimize the disruption of the earth. Open floor plan living is carried throughout the MOD 10 with an emphasis on families spending time together in the living area while keeping private areas accessible. Flush wood siding, natural light and a spacious deck continue the modern lines outside.

The MOD is designed to allow construction with SIP’s or modular methods, passive solar heat, grey water use with only one plumbing wall, and the flat roof also allows for solar panel installation or a green roof to help lower energy costs.

Shown in this first modern house plan option, the front view is seen above, 2 stories are created by combining the living module and sleep module, creating 2/3 bedrooms and 2 baths plus living area. The MOD 10 Option A house plan includes a kitchen with refrigerator, dishwasher, range/oven, sink, and built-in pantry, as well as a dining nook, family room, powder room, laundry, closet built-ins, and double faced fireplace.

OPTION B - 1000 Sq Ft, 2-3 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms

For easy one level living we’ve also put together option B which is a combination of the living and sleeping modules connected by the spacious deck area. Great for narrow lots, the MOD 10 Option B is perfect for families with a family room just off the 2 bedrooms in the sleeping module. The MOD 10 Option B small house plan includes a kitchen with refrigerator, dishwasher, range/oven, sink, and built-in pantry, as well as a dining nook, family room, powder room, laundry, closet built-ins, and double faced fireplace.
