The Stilts 10 is designed with the idea of allowing air to flow around the house in order to moderate air temperature. Reminiscent of modern beach houses, the Stilts is built on a pier and beam system, with the “stilts” being integral to the design rather than hidden. With an open entry stairway from the ground level, the house sits above the Earth making it perfect for sloped lots and flood planes.

The Stilts 10 is 1000 sq ft, with an eco friendly sloped roof that acts as a rain catching system, allowing rainwater to flow into a cistern. The slope of the roof will be determined by your lot and how the stairs will be constructed in order to site the house appropriately. The Stilts 10 house plan includes 2 bedrooms, 1 bath plus a powder room for guests; a kitchen with refrigerator, dishwasher, range/oven, and sink; living and dining areas, and sliding panels for privacy. The Stilts 10 is designed to allow construction with SIPs or other modular options to reduce cost and be environmentally friendly.
